Pianegonda for the second year in a row has been the Main Partner of Cortinametraggio – the Short Film Festival concluded a few days ago with great success among the public and press. The festival, chaired by founder Maddalena Mayneri and held in the evocative setting of Cortina d’Ampezzo, stands as an Italian landmark for the world of short films and Italian cinema, The collaboration between Pianegonda and Cortinametraggio mirrors a strong affinity with the world of cinema, art, and culture, and a commitment to supporting young talents who see this event as a potential launchpad for their future careers.
Eleonora De Luca, a young and talented actress, along with Niccolò Gentili, artistic director, were the faces of Cortinametraggio 2024. Roberto Ciufoli, a long-time friend of the Festival, a renowned Italian comedian, actor, and voice actor, returned to present the evenings dedicated to the best of Italian short film cinematography.
This year’s guests and jurors included Paolo Genovese, Nancy Brilli, Rocío Muñoz Morales, Chiara Vinci, Silvia D’Amico, Valeria Fabrizi, Vittoria Schisano, Giulio Base, Gianluca Curti, Gianni Ippoliti, Ludovica Coscione, Ludovica Martino, and many others.
The event wrapped up on Saturday, March 16, with an awards ceremony where Beatrice Beleggia, co-owner of Pianegonda, presented the Best Actress award to the talented Catherine Bertoni and Best Actor to Niccolò Ferrero for his existential portrayal in “Foto di gruppo,” featuring personalized plaques and exclusive design creations.
